Celebrating Women Winemakers

Just a handful of amazing wines made by women from around the world!

JuWel Weine

Juliane Eller of JeWel Weine
GERMANY | Juliane Eller is one of Germany youngest vintners and was the driving force behind the reshaping her family’s business into JuWel (Juliane Eller Weine). She has focussed the Alsheim vineyard on five varieties: Riesling, Weiss Burgunder (Pinot Blanc), Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris), Silvaner and Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir). She wants people to know, the “new” Germany is not just about Riesling.

Maivino

Mai Vu of Maivino

CALIFORNIA | Mai Vu started Maivino because she believed that wine traditions limit the potential of wine. Seeking to make great wines more accessible, the company abides by these tenets: great wines can come from anywhere and wine traditions that are worth keeping are the ones that benefit either the drinker, the earth, or the wine.

Quinta de Chocapalha

Sandra Tavares da Silva of Quinta de Chocapalha

PORTUGALAcclaimed Portuguese winemaker Sandra Tavares da Silva leads her family’s famed vineyard Quinta de Chocapalha. Their Mar de Lisboa brand is younger, with a bolder and more joyful profile. Branco enjoying a very fresh and aromatic nose with citric and tropical fruit notes while the Tinto exhibits rich perfume with notes of mature black fruit. Very fine on the palate with soft tannins combined with good acidity and long aftertaste. Sandra also happens to be the co-owner and founder of Wine & Soul, a winery showcasing traditional varieties of the Douro Valley on an international scale.

Vanderpump Wines

Lisa Vanderpump of Vanderpump Wines

FRANCE, CALIFORNIAHospitality celeb mogul Lisa Vanderpump most likely does not need an introduction to anyone remotely watching TV during the last decade, and is the face of one of the most ‘must have’ Côtes de Provence Rosés in the industry. Her portfolio also includes two California collabs with renowned winemaker Tom Hinde, a Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon produced in Sonoma. Vanderpump Rosé is made with Cinsault, Grenache, and Syrah. It enjoys a nose of red currant, pepper, and light citrus. On the palate, it reveals a touch of strawberry, tangerine and peach in a dry, classic Provençal style.

Stoller Family Estate

Melissa Burr & Kate Payne-Brown of Stoller Family Estate

OREGON | Melissa Burr joined Stoller Family Estate as the winery’s first dedicated winemaker and has been at the forefront for almost two decades. Now vice-president, the constant evolution of every new vintage pushes her to learn more about her craft alongside winemaker Kate Payne-Brown. Stoller Dundee Hills Pinot Noir is driven with aromatics, the nose is bright, showing perfumed red fruits with undertones of earth and baking spice. The palate soft and supple, with dark cherry flavours balanced by a delicate tension from the tannins—a classic representation of the Dundee Hills.
